In the fall of 2020, we ran a baking contest on Facebook with the group, Subtle Asian Cooking. Through this contest, we discovered many talented home bakers and have collaborated with a few of them to launch kits for our new AAPI collection! Baking has been a wonderful way for us to celebrate our culture. We hope these kits can do the same for you.
I’m Janice, aka @foodbyjan_, and am currently based in NYC. Growing up, desserts in my Korean American home usually revolved around red bean desserts, such as red bean shaved ice and red bean filled breads, or a simple plate of fruit. Through my recipes, I strive to bring light to a wider range of traditional Korean flavors by infusing them into more Western-style desserts, like my purple sweet potato tart, injeolmi choux au craquelin and these hotteok cookies!
